The Opening Session
The opening session, themed ‘Innovative Financing for Entrepreneurs & Start-Up Growth in Ghana’, is scheduled to commence at 09:00 UTC. Ghana’s entrepreneurial environment has expanded significantly in recent years, with young inventors and start-ups generating solutions to local and global issues. However, access to capital remains a significant hurdle. Traditional funding sources, such as bank loans, are sometimes unavailable owing to high interest rates and strict collateral requirements. There is an increasing demand for novel finance arrangements that allow entrepreneurs to launch, develop, and scale their businesses. The objective of this session will look at how Ghanaian entrepreneurs can benefit from practical tactics and emerging financing models like as venture capital, angel investment, crowdfunding, peer-to-peer lending, and blockchain-based finance. Women Beyond Limit Session by LANEF
The second session, hosted by Ladies Network for Economic Freedom (LANEF) in partnership with the YAFO Institute, is themed ‘Women Beyond Limits: Advancing Leadership for Inclusive Development in Ghana’ and is scheduled to begin at 11:30 AM. Despite gains in women’s empowerment, women in Ghana continue to confront challenges when it comes to leadership positions in politics, business, and civil society. Limited representation and institutional barriers impede inclusive development. Empowering women to take on leadership roles is critical for creating a just, free, and prosperous society. The objective of this session will discuss the barriers to women’s engagement in leadership roles and present practical methods for women to advance in leadership and impact development results.
