YAFO Institute Launches the Liberty Sphere 2025 Report — Advancing Freedom and Leadership in Ghana

The YAFO Institute has officially released the Liberty Sphere 2025 Report, a detailed documentation of the outcomes, insights, and transformative impact of the Liberty Sphere Policy Grounds Training and Conference held at Aburi from September 10–12, 2025.

The report chronicles a two-day intensive leadership and policy training that convened 25 emerging leaders, including students, journalists, activists, and entrepreneurs. Participants were equipped with knowledge and tools to champion liberty, free-market principles, and inclusive governance in Ghana.

The program culminated in the Battle Grounds Policy Pitch Competition, where participants applied libertarian principles to real-world challenges. The Jonathan Gullible team emerged as the winner with their Straight-Line Tax Policy, designed to simplify tax compliance and support SME growth. The competition reflected YAFO Institute’s dedication to nurturing creative policy thinkers capable of driving evidence-based reform.

The training was followed by the Liberty Sphere Conference, themed “Advancing Freedom, Shaping Ghana’s Future.” The conference gathered change-makers and thought leaders for expert sessions on Innovative Financing for Entrepreneurs, Women Beyond Limits: Advancing Leadership for Inclusive Development, and Harnessing Bitcoin for Business Empowerment.

Distinguished speakers included Dr. Eamonn Butler (Adam Smith Institute, UK), Prof. Enoch Opoku Antwi (Academic City University, Ghana), Bruce Koerber (Divine Economy Consulting, USA), Nathaniel Dwamena (YAFO Institute, Ghana), and Ebenezer Yamusah (Institute for New Policy Thinking, Ghana).

“Our goal with Liberty Sphere is to bridge ideas and action — to ensure that the principles of liberty and free enterprise take root in the minds of young people as tools for transformation,” said Nathaniel Dwamena, President of YAFO Institute.

Participants described the program as life-changing. One participant, Emmanuel Yeboah, reflected: “I was a socialist, but now I believe free market and capitalism is the way to go in order to empower people and private sectors.”

The Liberty Sphere 2025 Report underscores YAFO Institute’s mission to educate, connect, and empower young professionals and entrepreneurs to advance liberty and economic freedom for Ghana’s prosperity.
