      The YAFO Institute is pleased to announce the release of its 2024 Annual Report themed “Market Works”. The Report highlights a year of significant progress, policy reform, and deepening organizational strength aimed at promoting civil liberty, free enterprise, and prosperity in Ghana. This is rooted in our identity and roots as inspired by one of the oldest ports in the world, YAFO.

- - - This study investigates the unexpected repercussions of Ghana’s Free Senior High School (FSHS) program on household poverty, with a particular emphasis on household savings. Structured interviews were used to obtain primary data from a purposive sample of 130 parents and 8 schools, including both private and public institutions. This paper will be presented at the Free SHS Policy Dialogue in Accra – Ghana.
