Remembering Glenn Boyer: A Tribute from The YAFO Institute

It is with deep sorrow and a heavy heart that we at YAFO Institute pay tribute to the life and legacy of Glenn Boyer. His passing is not only a loss to his family and loved ones, but also to the global liberty community and to us as an institution that had the privilege of knowing and working with him.

Glenn Boyer was more than a friend of YAFO; he was a bridge-builder, a connector, and a quiet force behind one of our most meaningful achievements and organizing Jonathan Gullible Readers across Africa. Through his presence and support during our Liberty Anansesem project, Glenn played a pivotal role in connecting YAFO Institute to Professor Ken Schoolland, author of The Adventures of Jonathan Gullible: A Free Market Odyssey. That single connection opened a door that would shape our work in a profound way leading to the translation of the 58th Edition of Jonathan Gullible in Asante Twi.

Because of Glenn, the YAFO Institute was able to translate this impactful book into Asante Twi – bringing the message of liberty, free markets, and personal responsibility closer to the hearts and minds of many young people and in our local communities in the language they understand. This achievement stands as a lasting testament to his influence and his belief in the power of ideas to transform societies.

We remember Glenn Boyer not only for what he did, but for who he was – warm, supportive, and deeply committed to advancing freedom and education. His presence at the Liberty Anansesem book launch was a symbol of his dedication, and his willingness to support emerging initiatives like ours spoke volumes about his character.

It is especially painful that Glenn was also among the distinguished speakers expected to participate in this year’s Liberty Sphere Policy Grounds Training in Ghana. His insights, experience, and passion would have undoubtedly inspired many young minds. His absence will be deeply felt.

At YAFO Institute, we carry forward the seeds Glenn helped plant. His legacy lives on in the work we continue to do, in the lives we impact, and in the ideas we champion. We are forever grateful for his role in our journey.

To Glenn Boyer, we say thank you.
Thank you for believing in us.
Thank you for connecting us.
Thank you for leaving a legacy that will endure.

May his soul rest in perfect peace. Rest in freedom, forever in our hearts.
