Andy Anim is a graduate student at McMaster University specializing in African history. His research interests are legal and imperial history, human rights, and intellectual and cultural history of the 19th and 20th century. He is a Teaching Assistant in the History Department and Research Assistant at Participedia. He has excellent research skills and is proficient in legal research tools such as LexisNexis and Westlaw. Andy has published in highly indexed journals, including the Journal of Social and Development Science and the Journal of Studies in Social Sciences and Humanities. He is also skilled in archival research and has conducted research in several national archives and libraries. Andy hopes to continue his research on the intersection of law and social movements and how law can be used for social change. He is passionate about teaching and believes that legal history is an essential component of legal education, and he hopes to become a professor of law and history.
