Bismark Asamoah

Bismark Asamoah is a dedicated researcher with a strong academic background in International Studies. He was awarded MPhil. International Studies from the Centre for African and International Studies (CAIS) at the University of Cape Coast. Prior to that, he completed his Bachelor’s Degree in African Studies at the same university, where he delved into courses ranging from Slave Trade and Colonialism to Conflict Resolution in Africa.

With a keen focus on security, conflict, and peace, Bismark’s research interests lie in Terrorism, Counter Insurgency/Terrorism, Terrorism Consciousness, and National Security, with a particular emphasis on Africa. He aspires to advance his academic journey and establish himself as an expert in these areas, contributing significantly to global security discourse.

Bismark has already made notable contributions to the field, with a published paper titled, “The Threat of Terrorism and Ghana’s State of Preparedness” in an edited book. He has also published scholarly article on Twenty-First Century Terrorism and National Security: An Assessment of Ghanaian Consciousness and Preparedness. His passion for research and commitment to enhancing Africa’s security landscape make him a valuable addition to the institute.

He is currently the senior research assistant at the Centre for Free Trade & International Relations and the Centre for Public Policy & Constitutional Governance at the YAFO Institute.
